Our Huntington store is the John Deere dealership for Huntington County and the upper Wabash valley, serving corn and soybean farms, hay and cattle ground, and the acreage owners and contractors working between Fort Wayne and Wabash.
TRULAND Equipment in Huntington is the John Deere dealership for Huntington County. We handle sales, parts and service for John Deere tractors, combines, planters, sprayers, hay equipment, Gators and mowers, plus STIHL, Kuhn, Great Plains, Toro, SnowEx and Boss. Call 260-356-7958 to check a part, schedule service or ask about a machine. We also serve Roanoke, Markle, Andrews, Warren, Bippus and Mount Etna.
Huntington County sits where the Wabash River, the Little River and the Salamonie come together, and that river country sets the pattern for how ground gets farmed here. You get productive, level to gently rolling cropland across most of the county, then bottoms and breaks along the Wabash and the Salamonie where the ground turns steeper and the fields get irregular. The Roush Lake and Salamonie reservoir projects take up a chunk of that river corridor, so a lot of farms here work around flood easement ground and public land edges.
Corn and soybeans carry the county, with wheat in the rotation and a real amount of hay ground, pasture and cattle in the south and east toward Warren, Mount Etna and the Salamonie. Operations run the whole range. There are 2,000 acre grain farms around Bippus and Markle, and there are 200 acre farms with a cow herd and an off-farm job. Both of them come through the same door at our Huntington store, and we stock and staff for both.
John Deere is the primary line, and at Huntington that means row crop tractors, combines, corn heads and platforms, planters, drills, sprayers and tillage on the grain side, plus a full hay and forage lineup for the balers and mower conditioners that keep the south end of the county in business every June.
We also carry Kuhn and Great Plains, which cover a lot of the tillage and hay tool ground here, along with CAM Superline trailers, Toro, SnowEx and Boss snow plows. On the smaller end, the 1023E, 1025R, 2025R and 3025E tractor and loader packages move well around Roanoke, Markle and the country lots along US 24, where people are keeping five to forty acres cleared, mowed and plowed. Our STIHL catalog is deep for saws, trimmers and blowers, which matters in a county with as much timber along the river as this one has.
Northeast Indiana does not hand out long planting or harvest windows. A wet spring can compress planting into a handful of usable days, and a combine down on an October Saturday is not a Monday problem. The Huntington parts counter and service department are set up around that reality. Call 260-356-7958 and we will tell you straight whether the part is on the shelf, at another TRULAND store, or coming in.
We stock parts for tractors, tillage tools, planters, air seeders, drills, sprayers, hay equipment, ag technology, skid steers, track loaders, mini excavators and wheel loaders. You can order online through Shop.Deere.com, and we run Parts Drop Locations so you are not burning half a morning driving into town. The cheapest way to stay out of an in-season breakdown is an off-season inspection, and we run programs for 4WD tractors, row crop tractors, combines, corn heads, platforms, planters, drills, sprayers, balers, mower conditioners, tillage tools, forage harvesters, skid steers, compact track loaders, compact wheel loaders and compact excavators.
Fields that wrap around the Wabash bottoms, reservoir easement ground and wooded draws are exactly where precision ag pays for itself. Clean boundaries, good guidance lines and working section control stop the overlap and skips that add up fast on odd-shaped ground. We drive and upload boundaries into John Deere Operations Center using a TRULAND-supplied 835M Gator and precision ag equipment, and a Full-Service Boundary Program is available.
Our Total Farm Support Plan is $1,500 for spring or fall. It includes an Operations Center pre-season review and data clean-up, data transfer from Operations Center to your equipment, software updates for equipment compatibility, in-field technology startup and a full year of Call Center support. Agronomy service packages include Data Services at $1 per acre for management zones or sample grids uploaded to Operations Center, in-season soil nitrogen testing at $60 per sample, plant tissue testing at $60 per sample and manure testing at $90 per sample. Phone support is $299 per year through our Precision Ag Support Center at (260) 296-2391, and we publish an RTK network dealer map so you know your coverage before you need it.
Storing your own grain is how a lot of Huntington County farms keep control of when they sell. Our grain division has been in the grain storage and handling industry for almost 60 years, and we handle full design and site layout, equipment selection, expert installation, routine and preventative maintenance, custom millwright work and complete dryer service.
We work with Brock on-farm grain storage systems, Brock pneumatic systems, Brock conditioning fans and heaters, Meyer and Superb grain dryers, Farm Fans dryers and parts, KLEENair systems, Grain Management Systems and Honeyville bucket elevators, catwalks, conveyors, support structures and towers. We also stock a large inventory of Hutchinson and Westfield. Whether you are adding a bin, replacing a dryer that has finally quit, or laying out a whole new site, start with a call to 260-356-7958.
TRULAND runs 18 stores across Indiana and Ohio, and for a Huntington County customer that mostly shows up as parts and as inventory. If the part you need is sitting in Fort Wayne, Wabash or Bluffton instead of on our shelf, we move it rather than putting you on a backorder while your window closes.
On equipment, the group carries hundreds of used units at any given time across tractors, harvesting, tillage, planting and seeding, sprayers, grain handling, hay and forage, utility vehicles and compact construction. If the tractor you want is at another store, we can work on getting it here instead of telling you we do not have one. Technician specialties, grain systems crews and precision ag support are shared across the group too, so a store your size does not mean a bench your size.
Huntington is not a rental store. TRULAND rentals are at two locations, Wauseon, Ohio at 419-335-7368 and Angola, Indiana at 260-665-5820. Between them they cover skid steers and attachments, mini excavators, compact construction equipment, trailers, generators, air compressors, pumps, pressure washers, saws, lifts, concrete and masonry equipment, surface prep and floor care, heating and cooling, Gators, landscaping and lawn care and tree care equipment. Angola is the closer of the two for most Huntington County customers. Call either store directly for availability.
